Jackpot Calculation and Split Dynamics

The mathematical structure of the Ontario Lotto 50/50 community raffle is simple and transparent. Exactly fifty percent of the total revenue accumulated through all ticket sales forms the cash prize jackpot. There are no administration fees deducted from the ticket sales, no advertising expenses charged against the prize pool, and no hidden overhead costs. Every dollar spent on ticket packages directly inflates the prize pool, and this figure is updated dynamically on our landing page.

The remaining fifty percent of ticket sales flows directly into the operational and programming accounts of Bluewater Gymnastics Club Sarnia. These funds enable the club to manage facilities, maintain apparatus, provide safety equipment, and run athletic training programs.

Official Payout Procedures

Following the selection of the winning number on draw night, our system logs the transaction ID and buyer records. The winner is notified immediately via the contact information provided at checkout. To claim the cash prize, the winning ticket holder must complete the following steps:

  • Present the official ticket receipt (either digital copy or printed receipt) matching the drawn number.
  • Provide a valid government-issued photo identification (such as an Ontario Driver's License or Canadian Passport) to confirm name, age, and Ontario residency.
  • Complete a standard prize claim form detailing the ticket purchase and confirming compliance with the AGCO regulations.

Once these documents are verified by our audit committee, the funds are disbursed to the winner. Winners can choose to receive their funds via secure electronic bank transfer (for jackpots under $10,000) or an official certified bank draft issued by our financial institution. Payouts are completed within seven business days from the validation of the claim.

Financial Audit and Regulatory Standards

To maintain our raffle license status with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), we operate under strict financial oversight. All revenue from ticket sales is deposited directly into a designated lottery trust bank account. This account is subject to regular audits and is completely separated from the general operational bank accounts of the gymnastics club.

At the close of the raffle season, a comprehensive financial disclosure report is prepared by an independent chartered professional accountant. This report details all gross revenue, prize payments, and the exact distribution of the charitable proceeds. The audit report is filed directly with the AGCO and is kept on record at the Bluewater Gymnastics Club administrative office for public inspection. This rigorous audit process ensures that every penny is accounted for and that the lottery complies with the Gaming Control Act of Ontario.

Unclaimed Prizes Policy

In accordance with AGCO regulations, all winning ticket numbers are published on this website for a minimum of six months following the draw date. If a winning ticket holder does not step forward to claim their prize within this 180-day window, the prize money remains in the lottery trust account.

Upon expiration of the six-month claim period, a formal application is submitted to the AGCO to release the unclaimed funds. With regulatory approval, these funds are directed entirely into the club's capital reserve account to fund long-term facility improvements and structural apparatus replacement programs.
