Official terms governing the operation, eligibility, draw execution, and prize claiming rules for our 50/50 community raffle.

Effective Date: May 26, 2026
Licence Holder: Bluewater Gymnastics Club Sarnia
AGCO Raffle Licence Number: RAF1546240

1. General Information

The Ontario Lotto 50/50 electronic raffle is operated and managed by Bluewater Gymnastics Club Sarnia, a registered non-profit organization located in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. All proceeds from the raffle support amateur youth athletics, coach development, safety infrastructure, and community recreation programs. The raffle is subject to the provisions of the Gaming Control Act of Ontario, the regulations of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), and these official Rules of Play.

2. Eligibility to Participate

To be eligible to buy a ticket for any drawing, an individual must meet the following criteria at the exact time of purchase:

  • Must be physically located in the Province of Ontario, Canada during the transaction.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must not be a restricted member of the raffle administration. Restricted individuals include board executives of Bluewater Gymnastics Club Sarnia, members of our raffle audit committee, and staff members of the technology providers directly responsible for the Random Number Generator system.

Any ticket purchased by a restricted person, or by a person located outside Ontario, shall be deemed null and void. In such cases, the purchaser will not be eligible to claim any prize, and no refund will be issued.

3. Ticket Sales and Bundling Tiers

Tickets are sold exclusively through our online portal (ontario-lotto.app) during designated drawing periods. The ticket pricing packages are fixed by our provincial licence and are structured as follows:

  • Single Ticket Package: 1 entry for $5.00
  • Medium Bundle Package: 5 entries for $10.00
  • Large Value Package: 20 entries for $20.00

Once a transaction is finalized and the ticket range is generated, the purchase is final. We do not offer refunds, order cancellations, or ticket transfers under any circumstances. All tickets are generated digitally and delivered via email to the address provided during checkout.

4. Geolocation Requirements

In compliance with AGCO electronic gaming standards, our portal employs geolocation verification technology. Prior to payment authorization, players must permit their browser to check coordinate data. This check is performed using IP routing details, local Wi-Fi nodes, or GPS coordinates to confirm the transaction is occurring within Ontario borders. Transactions originating from outside Ontario or routed through virtual private networks (VPNs) will be automatically blocked.

5. The Drawing Mechanics

Drawings are executed on the dates and times published in our Draw Schedule. The winning ticket number is selected using a certified digital Random Number Generator (RNG) that has been evaluated by an independent testing laboratory registered with the AGCO. All draws are conducted at the administrative office of Bluewater Gymnastics Club Sarnia (1540 Lottie Neely Park Rd, Sarnia, ON N7T 7H4) under the direct supervision of at least two designated club officers and one independent witness.

6. Prizes and Payout Splits

Exactly fifty percent of the gross receipts collected during the specific draw period forms the cash prize jackpot. The remaining fifty percent of gross sales is retained by Bluewater Gymnastics Club Sarnia to fund community youth gymnastics programs. The cash prize jackpot is paid to the verified holder of the single ticket matching the drawn number. Under Canadian federal tax laws, all lottery winnings are tax-free.

7. Claiming a Prize

Winners are contacted via phone and email within 24 hours of the draw. To establish a valid claim, the winning ticket holder must:

  1. Present the digital ticket receipt containing the matching ticket number.
  2. Provide a valid government-issued photo ID to verify name, age, and Ontario residency.
  3. Execute a standard prize claim release form.

Upon validation, the jackpot will be issued via secure electronic bank transfer or a certified bank draft within seven business days. Prizes must be claimed within six months (180 days) from the draw date.

8. Unclaimed Prizes

If a winning ticket holder does not claim their prize within 180 days from the draw date, the funds will be held in the lottery trust account. Upon expiration, a formal application will be filed with the AGCO to release the unclaimed funds. With regulatory approval, the funds will be allocated to the club's capital building reserve account to fund equipment upgrades and youth athletics.

9. Public Release and Consent

By claiming a prize, the winning ticket holder grants Bluewater Gymnastics Club Sarnia and the Advertiser, Academia Española de Marketing S.L, a royalty-free license to publish the winner's name, ticket number, municipality of residence, and photo (if provided) in draw announcements and marketing materials. This disclosure is required by provincial gaming transparency standards.

10. Governing Law

These Rules of Play are governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any legal disputes arising from participation in the raffle must be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
